FACES is a non-profit, all volunteer agency founded in 1991 by a small group of volunteers who walked dogs at the Hampden County dog pound in Chicopee, MA. In 1993, these volunteers began to rescue one dog at a time, placing them in private foster care, obtaining veterinary care and finding them new, loving homes. Since then, we have grown to be one of the strongest rescue and adoption agencies in Western Massachusetts, rescuing and placing over a thousand dogs and puppies from shelters and private homes.
Who We Are:
FACES doesn't have an official shelter building; all of our dogs are sheltered by foster families in their homes until the time of adoption. For more information, please visit our adoption page.
Meeting Information:
Every other month, FACES holds a meeting to discuss new information having to do with the organization. These meetings are a great opportunity to sign-up as a volunteer! They are held at 7 PM on the second Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November at the Church of the Good Shepherd in West Springfield.
